Asia’s leading communications company

By SingTel International Carrier Services

SingTel International Carrier Services’ (ICS), a leading provider of wholesale international telecommunications services, leverages on SingTel’s worldwide presence and extensive international infrastructure to offer a wide range of wholesale voice services at highly competitive rates.

In today’s volatile telecommunications environment, it is vital to have a partner who fully understands what it takes to communicate and compete. We are your chosen partner in bringing global connectivity to international carriers in this competitive telecom arena.

SingTel ICS provides you with a suite of quality solutions that ranges from C7 Roaming Signaling, Transit Services, GPRS Roaming Exchange (GRX) to VoicePlus voice transit. These solutions enable international carriers and resellers to enjoy reliable, instantaneous and seamless global connectivity at competitive prices.

VoicePlus
The launch of VoicePlus, our international wholesale voice service delivered via VoIP technology has further strengthened our foothold in the Asian telecommunications wholesale market. This service redefines premium quality voice delivery using next generation softswitch technology and provides quality termination into Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA and Vietnam.

With problems such as route failures, poor quality routes and high costs for reasonable quality routes plaguing the wholesale marketplace now, VoicePlus brings with it a new paradigm to the wholesale industry by taking into account the above factors during its development stage. Good quality routes and traffic to places that matter most is what set us apart from other carriers in the wholesale market.

Two solutions are offered under VoicePlus: VoicePlus Premium and VoicePlus Value.

VoicePlus Premium provides direct connectivity to 25 top destinations mentioned above. It boasts of competitive pricing and good quality routes, even while the current wholesale market is faced with fluctuating prices and unstable routes. This means precious resources is not wasted on the need to change routes frequently. VoicePlus Premium is able to provide competitive pricing through the strong partnership base we have with the terminating carriers. With attractive prices and good quality routes, customers can then focus their efforts on maximising revenue instead.

VoicePlus Value offers a cost effective solution for price sensitive carriers looking for alternative routes. We offer attractive termination rates to more than 200 destinations. These attractive termination rates help carriers stay competitive in the wholesale market.

Our VoicePlus network also allows ASPs and ISPs to offer innovative value added services to carriers connected to the network. This network has been engineered to facilitate hosting of new voice applications that a carrier connected to the network can implement on top of the network infrastructure.

Value added services such as IP-based Telco Calling Cards and IP Audio Conferencing over the VoicePlus network are available today for immediate rollout of revenue generating services.

Telco Calling Card (TCC)
SingTel provides cost efficient voice delivery solutions with the aid of VoIP technology to cater to the needs of today’s prepaid market. Partnering with SingTel offers resellers the exclusive privilege of leveraging on our prepaid card platform, which will give you the competitive edge to capitalise on this lucrative prepaid calling card market.

SingTel’s prepaid card system offers resellers market penetration into countries where we have our Point of Presences (PoPs) with no additional capital outlay. Using our platform allows our resellers to focus and channel your resources towards the building of market share in the prepaid card services.

Riding on SingTel’s prepaid card system will provide resellers the immediate market entry advantage, critical in meeting your objectives. Resellers will be given the access to SingTel’s extensive network.

Key features of TCC includes its ability to deliver the calling card traffic at low cost via a fast speed, high capacity, managed IP infrastructure. Wholesale customer gains immediate market entry with low capital investment incurred, and SingTel offers customer the ability to reach destinations worldwide with our global connectivity. Customers will also have management and control access to the system, so it works as though TCC was their own. Also, your end users will enjoy the ability to make roaming calls, a distinctive feature offered on TCC.

IP Conferencing Service (IPC)
The need for rapid communication between geographically dispersed individual remains high. To bridge the gap of communication due to distance, there is a continued increase in demand for conferencing solutions. This is especially evident following the uncertainty of air travel in recent times due to the outbreak of war and communicable diseases around the world. SingTel offers the IPC service as a more affordable alternative to air travel.

The IPC is a VoIP application that enables audioconferencing capabilities over SingTel’s IP platform. Voice packets are delivered to a centralized server, where a conference bridge is created. In addition, IPC also supports data collaboration features via the web, which includes services such as text chat, file/application sharing, white boarding, conference recording and playback.

Based upon a wholesale model, SingTel shall offer the IPC as a wholesaler to potential resellers. Much like the TCC, the introduction of the IPC aims to provide potential resellers the ability to offer a new revenue generating service without having to invest any capital costs on a conferencing server. Yet, the reseller maintains full control of the service as the system has the capability to enable the reseller to self-provision remotely.

IPC is positioned to be an essential business tool, which offers great flexibility and efficiency, which will allow its users to reduce travel expenses significantly.

SingTel’s C7 STP service follows the international recommendations for Message Transfer Part (MPT) protocol and Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP). SingTel GRX
SingTel GRX, a secure inter-operator packet data network interconnects GPRS operators around the world and offers global roaming coverage. SingTel is also one of the first GRX providers in the Asia Pacific region to offer Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) roaming.
